I recently enjoyed a rejuvenating stay at Somer Place in Somerset West, which served as a convenient base for exploring the stunning Garden Route. Nestled just about 30 miles from Cape Town, the location is both tranquil and easy to navigate. The clean and comfortable accommodation made it easy to unwind after long days of adventure. I particularly appreciated the outdoor pool-perfect for a refreshing swim, and the sunbathing terrace offered nice views of the mountains. Breakfast was served on a pleasant deck, which was a great way to fuel up before our day trips. The staff facilitated a welcoming atmosphere with helpful suggestions for local activities, from visiting nearby vineyards to spotting penguins at Betty's Bay. The safety features in place, like 24-hour security and a safety deposit box, ensured a secure environment for my family. If you're searching for a peaceful getaway, Somer Place might just be your answer. I'd certainly consider returning for another relaxing escape.
